The Calvin Swallow House

784 Tremont Street, Boston

OVERVIEW

784 Tremont was one of BREC’s first projects and remains a special part of the company’s history. Our first headquarters were in the basement offices of the building. The team used historic tax credits to restore the Calvin Swallow House from a dilapidated, long-abandoned building in the South End to an award-winning historic restoration. Originally built as a home for aged men, it was converted to residential units above two stories of office and retail. The residential units were some of the first furnished units in our portfolio until the property was sold to a new owner.
