1065 Tremont was one of BREC’s first major ground-up construction projects and our first small project review process with the City of Boston. Located on Tremont Street in Lower Roxbury, on the perimeter of Northeastern University’s campus, the building is ideally located for students and working professionals. When BREC acquired the site from the former owner, we made a commitment to provide a ground floor commercial space to house the owner’s business as part of the deal. Architecturally, a modern façade was designed but using the classic rowhouse proportions of a top, middle, and base to match the scale and context of the surrounding buildings.
